Canadian Pop Musician Came for Academic Communication
In the afternoon of March 20， 2009, the small music hall was alive with students rushing for Joshua Lebofsky, the Canadian pop musician, came for the academic communication. Joshua Lebofsky sang several songs and made comment on six students’ performances in the communication.
Joshua Lebofsky is a famous pianist, singer and music producer. He cooperated with many bands with different styles, such as Avant-garde jazz，Bebop, FUNK, Pop, Country, World Music, and so on. He took part in road shows and live TV programs with the well-known artist as Eric Lapointe, Daniel Lavoie and Michel Pagliaro. As well, Joshua Lebofsky successfully published his music albums: The Joshua Ell Trio- I Should Care... and Play A Little Prayer.
The academic communication was hosted by Mr. Leo Jibin, who came from Pop Singing Department, and as well worked as the interpreter in the communication.
After the activity, the dead of Pop Singing Department, professor Yu Zhenyi,on behalf of the Pop Music School, presented souvenirs to Joshua Lebofsky.
Teachers and students spoke highly of this academic communication and they thought that they have benefited a lot.
