President Yang Shichun and his delegation joined “Future of Pop Conference” in Germany
In accepting the invitation from president Udo Dahmen of pop music academy in Mannheim-the sponsor of the forum, president Yang and his delegation went to Mannheim in Germany to join annual European Future of Pop Conference . The Conference opened from November 20 and ended on November 23 which lasted 4 days. Ms Liu Li(director of Students Management Office), Mr. Du Mengsu(director of Educational Administration Office), Mr. Qin Haibo(associate professor ,deputy Dean of Pop Singing and Dancing Department) and Mr. Leo Jibin(associate professor of Pop Music Singing Department)
President Udo Dahmen is one of our good friends. Since president Yang visited pop music academy in Mannheim in 2004 for the first time, the two colleges has been visited and exchanged ideas every year. The two parties had friendly discussion on further cooperation on teacher resources, teaching, market development, student training and other issues. And they also had a discussion on the content of friendly cooperative intention for further cooperation. President Yang congratulated the achievement that pop music academy in Mannheim got in recent years, especially the authorization for granting master’s degree it would get soon. He believed the authorization for granting master’s degree would provide our two colleges more extensive cooperation. President Udo Dahmen said he would send excellent students from Europe to study in our academy. At the same time, he welcomed our excellent young teachers and students to study in Germany.
Later, president Udo Dahmen showed president Yang and his delegation around the newly built music teaching building with full set of facility and advanced equipment and music zone with pop music industries. President Yang showed great interest to this. He said we would pay greater attention to the cooperation and exchanges with European counterparts and study together, develop pop music education and match pop music education with market in a closer way .from then On that night, president Yang and his delegation were invited to attend the concert and graduation ceremony held for graduates on the campus. On the graduation ceremony, president Udo Dahmen extent warm welcome again to president Yang and his delegation and expressed sincere thanks to our effort to teaching and cooperation of pop music between two colleges..
